Amy Park-Goeddeke, LMSW, IMH-E
Licensed Master Social Worker

After 15 years of working with children, adults, and families, I realized that all of my clients were grieving… death of a loved one, prenatal loss, divorce, religious trauma, loss of a job, loss of trust, unmet expectations, loss of safety, loss of a beloved pet, loss of self…  So, for the past 10 years, I’ve refocused my work to give greater attention to this and related needs.

There isn’t a single person who doesn’t experience grief or loss of some kind. Grief is normal and grievers don’t need to be fixed. Nonetheless, the worries, difficulty with focus, pain, questioning, isolation, hesitancy, intruding thoughts, sadness, anger, fears, confusion, and/or memory loss… can feel awful. It doesn’t “get better with time.” Grievers can take charge of their lives and move to “feeling better” without having to wait powerlessly for it to come.

I’ve been honored to work with children, adults, and adolescents courageously seeking “better” for themselves; I specialize in:

  • All Grief, Loss, Trauma
  • Parents/caregivers of grieving children
  • Those approaching the end of life and their loved ones.
  • Parents who have experienced prenatal loss or the death of their infant.
  • Related concerns or experiences

I bring an open-minded, relaxed, relationship-based style. I have a deep respect and appreciation for all that makes us each unique. Masters of Social Work, Infant Mental Health Mentor, completed certification with Trauma and Loss Center for Children, Advanced Grief Recovery Method (GRM) Certification, University of Wisconsin Grief & Loss Certification, and training as an End of Life Doula.
